While not the primary focus of his work, Jake Messing has a longstanding passion for photography, cinematography, and video. What first began as filming and editing within the world of professional skateboarding later traversed to filming, directing and editing for use commercially in marketing. The most notable examples are a series of ads for Monster audio and portable power products that he spearheaded along with Art Director Jose’ Pombeiro. Other works have also been made exclusively for social media formats.

Film, video, editing and animation are mediums that are of great interest to Jake, who does own and often operate both a DSLR and Digital Cinema camera. Film is passion that runs deep and as a card carrying member of both A24 and Neon, Jake Messing would never take any opportunity to work in and around film for granted. Filming, editing, and scoring continue to some of his favorite creative mediums to expand upon and strengthen.
